Description SAED:SOCIAL:PERSONALITY:DRUM APRIL 1956 Ð Jeremiah Mofokeng Hotel-Keeper Ð The group of people who had gathered at the opening of the first ever African-owned hotel in South Africa Ð The Merabe Hotel, Orlando, Johannesburg Ð spoke in praise of it. 59-Year-old Jeremiah Mofokeng, nothing to him is ever too big. Even the fact that his hotel made history didnÕt strike him as an outstanding achievement. In all his businesses Mr. Mofokeng had 45 employees.
